Car Breakdown Assistance in Limassol
A breakdown is stressful, especially on an unfamiliar road. Start with the steps below, then call us. We will help you work out what happens next.
What to do the moment your car breaks down
- Slow down gradually, signal and move as far out of the traffic as you can. Cyprus drives on the left, so be aware of which side you are stopping on.
- Turn on your hazard lights and, if it is safe and permitted, place a warning triangle behind the car.
- Leave the vehicle on the side away from traffic. On a main road, wait behind the barrier.
- Call 112 if anyone is hurt or the vehicle is a danger to others. Otherwise, call us.
- Share your location from your phone, or a nearby landmark, junction or road name.
What to tell us
Describe what was happening just before the car stopped. These details help us decide the best way to help.
- Whether the engine turned over, clicked or did nothing
- Any warning lights, noises, smoke or smells
- Whether the car is a manual or automatic, petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric
- Whether you have the keys, and whether the steering and brakes still respond
Breakdown in a rental car
Check your rental agreement for an assistance number. Some companies insist that their own provider handles breakdowns. If you are free to choose, call us, and tell us the registration and where the car needs to go. Keep your rental paperwork to hand.
